Apparitions 'inside of blue'

This watercolor work was created on heavy Arches paper (640 gr), where I applied up to 15 layers to achieve depth of color without compromising the transparency of the watercolor. In this composition, the red cloud appears like a mountain bathed in red light, with flashes emerging from the heavy clouds that rise into the sky.
