Codependent

This painting reflects my own experience of codependency and how it has shaped my relationships. I wanted to capture the feeling of being tied up, blinded, suffocated, and lost, drawn so deeply into another person that I forgot to live for myself.

The tangled, organic form represents the emotional bonds that once felt like connection but slowly became chains. Dark figure mirrors the sense of spiritual emptiness and exhaustion that follows when you give too much of yourself away.

Through this work, I tried to transform those feelings into something tangible, to face them, release them, and reclaim my own space to breathe.

This work is a confession of codependency, the moment when love turns into captivity and connection becomes the loss of self.
