Twenty years old Alma Karlin with her typewriter Erika starts her global journey from Celje train station. In eight years of solitary "A Swallow, who brings the World" becomes the voice of the world's foreing cultures of South America, Oceania, Indonesia, Asia and Africa.

Allegorical clock Alma (Karlin) is dedicated to first Slovenian cosmopolitan woman Alma Karlin (1889-1950), writer, eight language translater, polyglote, ethonologist, botanist, nominated for Nobel prize: laminated acacia; fine cutout brass clock rosete; Guilloche ACAD graved clock lunete coloured in Paris blue; winding clock mechanism; clock hands type Louis XV.
