Railway Station

This painting belongs to a series of works called Landscapes in Motion.
In this series I deal with the pace of life today, which I find both fascinating and frightening.
Fast and disposable mode in which we all live is far from peaceful Arcadia landscapes of 17,18 century. In this series of paintings I tried to make a comparison between the two. 18th and 21st century.
Unlike serene green meadows depicted by Pussein or Holland masters their contemporary counterpart is busy urban street life, full of noise and rush.
Therefore, I used my photo camera to make photos in motion, usually taken from moving vehicles for more dramatic effect which puts emphasis on this ever-growing acceleration.
