Priapos

The artwork is a portfolio casing desing statuette for a Creative Director's portfolio. There is a custom portfolio viewing software and portfolio content on the USB Stick. Formwise the artwork is the digital remake of the anatoloian fertility god Priapos with his larger than normal dick. The same principal as many of the fertility gods and other gods all around the world. Shiva, etc.

 

The artwork is a capitalist perspective against the religious socio-political situation of Turkey. On a broader scale it is a communist approach to the capitalist system worldwide.

 

The Priapos statuette is resembling Bhudda in sitting position as a personal choice of religion.

 

On another context the statue is an outcry to a girlfriend always referring to the smaller than normal penis size of it's creator.It summarises that What you have done in this life counts as much as your penises big size in terms of character in a relationship.
