TheSilhouette

The Silhouette – bodily resistance, living memory.

The Silhouette is the second piece of the triptych What the Body Holds.

In this piece, a human figure emerges from a dense black background, a body marked and shaped by experience.
The white, thickened by matter, becomes living flesh, imprinted with a buried story.

The rough reliefs and irregular textures evoke traumas etched into the skin, like invisible scars made tangible.

The black background, striated with marks and tensions, surrounds without engulfing.
The silhouette, standing, still present, resists.
It holds, bearing the internal traces.
It is no longer a mental memory: it is an organic, cellular memory — what the body has never been able to forget.
