What is Art Association Aps Moho?

Art Association Aps Moho has more than three years experience in art promotion, specifically- it helds and runs artistic events and competitions involving young talent from all across Europe. The 2013 contest is natural continuation of Yicca 2009 contest, which had great success with its over than 1000 participants and prompted the association to expand its relations and cooperation with galleries and professionals.

It is absolutely obvious that that promotion of "our" talents at the art market is our main aim. All association's staff and all contacts are included in the 'contact' section.


Why should I join Yicca 2013 competition?

The most direct and useful way to show yourself and become well- known is certainly through the public exposition of your own work and own artistic research.

If exhibition scenery takes place in one of the most exciting cities for contemporary art, and is supporedt by young but also very enterprising Czech gallery, Yicca 2013 is certainly a competition not to be missed.


What will be the prize for the selected artists?

The first and second classified will receive a money prize of value respectively of Euro 3,000.00 (three thousand/00) and 1000.00 (thousand/00)

The selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit the submitted works in an art gallery of a European city during November 2013.

Their works will be published on the catalogue 'YICCA 2013' and the selected artists will have the possibility to stay in Prague free of charge during the opening day.

Should i be adult to participate in it?

Yes, the only barrier is age.


What type of work can participate? And with what kind of technique?

The competition is open to all types of artwork and all techniques are allowed. This includes videos, performances and installations.


Can I partecipate with two or more works?

Each registration is valid for a single work, but the artists who want to submit two or more works, will have to register again for each work.

The entry fee payment must be paid for each registered work and it can't covers more than one. Two works of the same artist will be treaed as two different and separate registrations.


Can I insert more pictures of my work?

No. The registration provides insertion of a single image of the presented work.


What resolution should have the inserted image of my work?

The system automatically applies works resizing for the purpose of publication on the site.

You should not upload too large pictures.

Remember that once submitted the inserted image can not be changed anymore.


Can I change the work that I inserted?

No. Only for obvious technical problems or wrong insertion, you can request image edition, writing email at: technical_support@yicca.org


Can I change the description of the work?

No. Only in case of obvious technical problems or wrong insertion, you can request amendment by writing to email: technical_support@yicca.org


Can I participate with a work that has already participated in other competitions?

Yes, providing the work is available for the final exhibition and it is property of the artist who has proposed it.


Can I participate with a work that is currently exposed at other gallery or collection?

Yes, providing the work is available for the final exhibition and it is property of the artist who has proposed it.


I can't complete my registration. Why?

The registration form must be completed in all required fields. Make sure you have filled in all fields marked with red *.

I have registered using the registration form but I don't see my work published on the site.

Before being published on the site the subscription must be completed by paying the registration fee.

Only after receiving this payment, the subscription will be published on the site.

To verify the payment is necessary (in case you chose to pay by bank transfer or postal order) to send copy of payment receipt to: check@yicca.org or fax number: +390236215913

After we have received your receipt it may take 48 hours for the publication to occure on the site.


When can I pay the registration fee?

Payment can be made before September 7, 2013. Seven days after the closing date.

Until full payment is done the work will not be published on the site.

You shouldn't wait for the deadline date because the system could become overloaded and that might affect your enrollment.


I have already paid the fee but I still can't see my work published.

It's possible, depending on payment method that might take a few days (up to 5 working days) to allow the system to see the payment.

In case of delay of more than 7 days, please contact the accounting office at: check@yicca.org for verification request.


I have sent a copy of the payment but I still can't see my work published.

Similarly, the system stores copies of payments and unlocks the registration within 48 hours.

I want to book a copy of the final catalogue? Is it for sale?

The catalogue will be distributed free of charge to selected artists and interested parties at the inauguration day.

The catalogue can still be booked, indicating the shipping address and the wanted number of copies, on e-mail: catalogue@yicca.org.


I was selected, and I would like to come to the opening day with another person. Is it possible for us to stay in the same hotel?

Association Aps Moho offers free stay only for the selected artist, however, is pleased to book rooms for more people, making sure first that all participants are accomodated at the opening day.
