Activity:
I am a Venezuelan-born visual artist based in Miami, Florida. My multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, with figurative expressionism at its core.
My work explores human emotions, identity, power, and the contradictions of human behavior. Drawing from personal experiences and my Venezuelan background, I create figurative compositions that combine recognizable human forms with symbolic and surreal environments.
My ongoing series, The Art of Deception, investigates the relationship between authority, ambition, and the human desire to ascend. Through voluptuous figures, ladders, and desolate landscapes, I explore how power is acquired, maintained, and challenged. Working with a restricted Zorn palette, I use color limitations to reinforce the tension between excess and scarcity.
My artistic practice has evolved from direct social and political commentary toward a more universal visual language. Rather than providing definitive answers, I seek to create images that provoke reflection, challenge perceptions, and invite viewers to question their own relationship with the world around them.
