Life is sometimes very tough. When faced with a challenge, people will try to figure it out and solve it. Or we may stand still and feel depressed, unable to do anything. But of course we have to move on. When I encountered something very difficult that I did not understand, I came across a phrase that expresses exactly this feeling. It is the opening sentence of the Inferno section of Dante's Divine Comedy.
So I came up with the idea of using wire to represent all the sentences of the Inferno. The process was an act of prayer for me. It was not something I was trying to make anyone understand, but something that was meaningful in itself. Finally, I wanted to bind them together and give them a weight in the shape of a pencil to show that there is hope ahead.
