"Under the Wounds" is part of an ongoing series of works of mine entitled "Lesions". A common theme of the works in this series is the study of the presence/absence of the human figure and its fading. It emerges as memory or hypothesis through wounds of color: each figure represents the spectator in the moment of greatest wonder or worst anguish. In "Under the Wounds" a female human figure emerges under her own wounds and her eye observes the viewer, it is not known whether with blame or for a prayer
