Dariusz Mierzwa, born in 1959 in Chorzów, is an artist with a multifaceted creative path. My passion for art began with completing an art school. Initially starting with sculpture and scenography, creating musical spectacles, concerts, and working on television and film productions at Polish Television in Katowice.
A fascination with computer technology led me to explore new fields. I work with digital image technology, computer animations, and digital design. I combine painting and
drawing techniques with digital imagery, experimenting and seeking new possibilities in art.
My paintings, exhibited in the USA, France, Italy, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates, tell about the other side of the material world, something deeper and greater than ourselves. I seek a metaphysical world that resides within each of us, bringing surrealistic visions intertwined with philosophical aphorisms closer to us. My paintings transport us to the other side of reality, prompting reflection on the essence of being and the universe.
An extremely important element of my art is the fusion of traditional painting techniques with modern digital technologies. Photographs and photographic sketches form the concept of my works, giving them a deeper dimension and a modern form.
I don't limit myself to painting alone; I also engage in social activities, conducting workshops for seniors on IT, smartphones, and artificial intelligence programming. I see digital technology as a tool to enhance creativity and reach, rather than a threat to traditional art forms.
My paintings, such as "Journey into the depths of pain relief" and "My Dubai - Bismillah," showcase the diversity of my creativity and interests. In addition to my creative work, I explore the world of African and Islamic art, traveling through Arab countries and Africa. These inspiring journeys serve as a source for my new series of paintings.
I received a Certificate of Distinction for my work in 2022, signed by the Luxembourg Artistic Award for 2022.
I'm not afraid to experiment or take on new challenges. My works are filled with a deep message that speaks to the souls of my art's audience. They encourage reflection on the state of our world. My art, combined with artistic vision and social engagement, reminds viewers of empathy, the passing of time for our planet, and the ephemeral nature of life.
I am pleased to present these digital images as part of series and collections of oil and acrylic paintings;
My works have been showcased at exhibitions and auctions, such as YICCA 2022 in Milan, Luxembourg Art Prize 2022, and exhibi- tions in Berlin, Venice, Dubai, and others. I have received interna- tional recognition from Hervé Lancelin, the Artistic Director of the pinakothek in Luxembourg, a collector specializing in contempo- rary and art brut, for my unique vision of art for 2022, combining tradition with modernity.
